2026 F1 Thread

2014 is so back though - could we see Merc getting close to the RB of 2023? I guess Monaco (first race after new measuring for engine) will really tell - plus how crucial will Ferrari's starts be on tracks that are much harder to overtake on?

All I can say is Thank God the V8 Supercars are not electric...at least their races were entertaining.
Nobody holding back there.

Interesting news if accurate. Would have to assume Otro Capital's stake in Alpine would be the most realistic target here....

It's interesting, perhaps feeling the situation out.

I can't see them really wanting to go deep with ICE involvment, but electric side of F1 may be where they really want to get involved.

Similar thoughts here. They already have a battery partnership with Toyota, so perhaps if Toyota decides to dive back into becoming an engine manufacturer, then a joint venture with BYD could make sense. Otherwise, I’d expect BYD would be looking primarily at branding opportunities.

Gotta get some new KAYO, is the AFL/NRL yearly deal the best around?
Just one HD screen is all I want

I did remember to cancel it this time so they wont charge me full price automatically after my 1 year deal is up. I paid for 1 year then it should STOP. Should put this in WCMO thread...

Yep, AFL/NRL seems to be the best option right now.

Shanghai FP1 -: The "Macarena" wing is back!!! 🥳

Flip Flop F1 GIF

Shanghai SQ1: .....Aaaand the "Macarena" wing has been put back onto the spare parts shelf 😢

Apparently, the reasoning is "reliability concerns" with Ferrari not being completely confident that it would hold up to the rigours of a full race distance.

And opening issues.. It's a lot slower to open and Ham had an issue on one of his laps.

Had a great day today on track in the new B3 stand.
