2023 Hilton Status Retention

I just got the email saying I'll maintain my Hilton status (Diamond) with 1 stay between 1 Jan and 31 March :) Stays already booked in the period count. Does anyone know if award stays count as well as I already have an award stay booked in the petiod? Or it has to be a paid stay...?
Apparently award stays count too

Gold Fast Track four nights within 90 days (status valid through early 2025).

Paid and reward nights count.
I did notice this squirrelled away in the T&C’s but unsure if it’s enforced or not

“Offer available only to employees of approved companies with a valid email address and is not transferable. Please check with your company’s travel manager to ensure applicability.”

I got the email for the extension and have booked a night in Melbourne for the Avalon Airshow this week. Got lucky with diamond as it was earned as a perk with velocity platinum I believe in 2019. At least I’ll be able to take further advantage of diamond for a few stays in June and July as I travel europe, the Middle East and India.

Is it a 2024 or 2025 status ending date? If it’s another for 2025, I’m considering saving my VA WP upgrade after I fall from Diamond and quickly do an award night instead

Cheers,
Matt.
Asking this question again, now that monthly statements might have started to go out?... Has anyone who completed the Tier Last Call challenge since January (and did not otherwise qualify to extend in 2022) confirmed a status end date of 2025?

I thought a previous post had already confirmed 2025? Whether or not it sticks is another question....

Any sign that the 2023 retain have worked.
I think I activate a Stay 1 bonus to retain gold.

But everything on the website talks about what I need to do in 2023.

I completed my one stay in Melbourne over the weekend and got a popup message on the Hilton Honors website yesterday with a ‘great news! You’re keeping your diamond status in 2023’. Worked out well as I’ll be in Europe and the Middle East in June and July so will be nice to spend a few nights in some Hilton’s I have in mind.

Same here. Was a points stay and got the popup.

My statement came through this morning - March 2024 expiry after a last call stay in February.

Thank you! Ok; Looks like I’ll be sticking with the VA>HH Diamond path. Unlikely to retain VA J, or try for higher than VA Gold in the future, so I might as well use the status gift while I have it

Cheers,
Matt

I've certainly left my run late!
I emailed the Diamond desk over a week ago to enquire about the Tier Last Call 2023 Promotion but no reply. This morning I phoned and was advised that my account was registered on 19 January but I did not receive an email.

Now to book a stay before 31 March:)

Trying to work out if I should try to retain Diamond to 2025.

I have 24 stays booked, 6 short. Have more than 6 stays at non-Hilton hotels this year, but really torn about whether it's worth it (especially if they're throwing around generous offers to get status back next year).

Also I might be lucky and get a double night promotion at some point.

Maybe I'll just try the wait and see approach.

(The path to Diamond is easier with stays for my travel pattern this year, I'm further off with nights - won't get there on base points either as I'm doing a few redemptions).

Statement dated 10 Mar states 31 Mar 2025 diamond expiry (having retained diamond on the basis of one 6-night DT stay in Jan under the tier last call promo - apart from about 7 nights in total in calendar 2022). As did my Feb statement.

Interesting… it seems from some trawling of the bloggers pages and other travel forums this last week that the majority are seeing a 2024 end date, but there’s certainly a few 2025s in there, as well. Me; I’m still going to stick with the VA option after dropping to HH Gold, for the guaranteed outcome, I think.

Cheers,
Matt.

Guess I'll have to wait for my statement. The stay has posted, but neither the app (Android) or signing in via the webpage online seems to show an expiry? AwardWallet says expiration is in 2 years, though. But it said that before I refreshed the balance (which showed the stay that had posted.....).
