Hi All,

I can't remember the details of the Status Retention promotion from 2022 for 2023. I currently have this detail in my account which suggests that I have achieved status for this year however I have a nagging suspicion - from when the "boost" was announced - that I'm a few nights short. Does anyone have a link to the details on the HHonors page?

How many "Stays" have you had (not "nights"). Can't get that on line but shows on the app. For Golds, it's 14 in 2022, for Diamond it is 21.

Don't really need the app ... if I have 41 nights of which 28 are rollover then the maximum number of stays I've had if every night was a single stay is 13 ... or maybe I'm missing something??

Yes, Stays did not roll over.

I note your screen shot shows you have requalified, but this is not borne out as having done so on nights. I was thinking you may have already done so with 'stays', but as you point out the max. you could have had is 13.

This is what the app tells me which the desktop browser will not:

Thanks - mystery solved ... I really should have looked at the App first.

The App is correctly stating that I need 1 night to requalify as opposed to saying I have already qualified. It also tells me I have 9 stays for 2022. Desktop is obviously erroneously telling me I have already requalified ...

I think I saw that on LL once before (possibly Precovid). Mine’s suggesting I’ll need 40ds to retain Gold. We’ll see! Pretty sure I didn’t have enough nights, stays or pts to requal Gold.

At least I have a comp VA Gold to HH Gold up my sleeve thanks to the soft landing….

I think I’m in the same boat. I won’t requalify for Diamond but I think I have it until March 31st and then I can trigger the VA platinum for another year. Does that sound right

Yes, although don’t you get effectively two years from VA? The remainder of the year you trigger it plus the following year (and then to March the year after). Or did I imagine that? It’s been years since I took the once off VA WP -> HH Diamond (which was great while it lasted). I got my first VA WP via the SM years ago, so didn’t get the HH Gold option on the way up, but it was there on the way down.

I’d obviously wait until after your HH status ticks over to see if they’ve comped you a year (which seems to be the case for me if @Princess Fiona ‘s hack result is correct). Did you try that?

I did try it and it says I need 60 nights but still Diamond but I thought it was until 31st March anyway

I had a non refundable booking at Heathrow yesterday and couldn’t fly because I’m sick. I rang the hotel and told them I needed a tax invoice for insurance and they said as a diamond I could use it any time in the next three months

If only Diamonds are forever. Well, apart from some here who are or well on their way 😁.
 
So the apps and website are now showing me Gold without the hack (and that I need 40 nights to retain). But I’m pretty sure this is going to drop to Silver at the end of Feb or Mar - which one is it?

Is there a hack to see your actual status expiry?

It used to be on the physical cards but who‘s had one of those for ages. I recall that there used to be a way of seeing it via printing your virtual card or something like that - but that doesn’t seem to work anymore.
 
Yeah my app now shows I’m dropping from Diamond to Silver in April - not Gold - as I only managed 9 nights in 2022 (though some of those bookings were multiple rooms). Thanks, travel restrictions.

Strangely the app says I need 32 nights, 29 stays, OR 40,000 points to go to Gold. Does it mean any one of those 3 criteria will work? I’m waiting on a couple of night in a couple of rooms to be credited from this week and have 3 nights in 2 rooms at the Conrad Singapore coming up…

Same. There was talk that Diamonds would get some special retention possibility by the way, but haven't seen anything come of it.
