An extreme long shot but would like to hike in California in July or August. Probably 100-1 or longer but I will enter the required hiking permit lotteries just in case.

I’d think the chances are more 100,000-1, maybe even a gazillion-1 :)

Basically the same as what I would have done this year.

Indonesia - Sulawesi, Halmahera and Bali
or Fiji - Kadavu, Taveuni, main island - IC certs/points

Turkey Black Sea

Cruise-PNG Nov (booked only because I had credits from the one that was cancelled)

I will book last minute once I am assured that there will be no more forced hotel quarantine under any circumstances, no forced isolation if someone on a bus turns out to be a "close contact" or whatever. We will get the vaccine as soon as it is offered to our age group.

And we must be free to wander at will at destination. No resort prisons!!!

My travel plans in 2021 no longer involve flying QF in 2021 given the latest status extension announced today, but now I'll need to find some options to maintain Velocity status...
Looks like I may have to fly QF after all - just found out that my cousin will be moving from Sydney to Orange so I'd like to visit for the first time... Any tips?

Ideally, I want to get to Dili in April 2021... when I have a flight booked on Air North. However, I think the odds of this actually operating are low, so I'll likely try push to re-book it for 2022 or simply reclaim the points that I used to book it in the first place, shortly before the Qantas-Air North partnership ended.

Beyond this, I know I need to fly anywhere before my membership year ends to claim a loyalty bonus and I'm actually not too fussed beyond that where I travel next year, but I miss Adelaide, so perhaps there post-March for some Rockford 🍷 and great food :D

Cancelled January European Ski Trip. Holding a booking for March and will wait untill I can cancel penalty free.
Best European snow fall for years - Shame !
Holding millions of points and concerned I will not live
long enough to use them and you know what they say :
"Travel 1st class because if you don't when you die your kids will"

Booked to HBA early June, with a confirmed booking for a car, so maybe there will be one when we land.

Desperate to fly to UK late November, to spend time with daughter/granddaughter next Christmas seeing as we were banned this year..

At this stage for +1 and I:
  • Great Southern train from BNE to ADL in January
  • LRE, BDB, MKY in May including 2 nights on a tall ship
  • LDH in August
  • DRW and the Ghan to ADL in October
The Great Southern has already had the route changed and been bumped once, hoping there’s no further changes.

I also anticipate spending more time next year on the phone to Qantas as a result of ongoing schedule changes. Already had to sort out one change that resulted in the inbound flight arriving after the connecting one departed.
Waiting on a phone call/email from LE to say the Great Southern train trip is off. Beginning to think I was a tad ambitious booking any travel for 2021.

My booking for the Kamchatka trip I had planned for July this year has been moved to 2021, but I see little prospect of it happening. Maybe 2022 or use the deposit on something else in the Travel Directors portfolio.

I hold Intrepid & Peregrine credits for tours of Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia that are open-ended and can be used on other tours. I don't anticipate using them in 2021.

I also hold a credit with Coral Expeditions for a voyage Raja Ampat in the Indonesian Spice Islands-DRW. I suspect I may end up using that for something in Australian waters.

And I hold a deposit for the Indian Pacific SYD-PER. Hopefully I can put my bum in a seat on a bird to SYD and use that later this year.

But I'm not even looking at options even within Australia while safely holed up in Marko's Own Country(R) and there's any threat of borders slamming shut and having to isolate.

So, at the stage, it's driving around WA: Esperance, Bremer Bay, Porongorups in a couple of weeks, Denmark in April and just locked away a trip to Karijini NP in the Pilbara in August, looping inland for the wildflowers on the way there and coming home along the coast via Coral and Shark Bays. The fourby is just on 8 months old and has 30K clicks on the clock; there will be a few more by this time next year. ;)

I am from Melbourne, and is thinking of visiting Sydney in August for the Vivid Sydney festival. If these dumb state border closures continue into late 2021, i will then save the $$ and hope to go to USA for the first time in late 2022, and Russia, Estonia and Denmark in mid 2023.

And at some stage a road trip to NSW to see our grandkids and to visit Portland to see the art in the old cement factory.Portland has a place in my heart as my favourite uncle and aunt lived there and I spent quite a few school holidays there. Was even able to travel by myself on the old steam trains and going over the zig zag tracks.

Now there's an idea...Portland. Better still I am in the State.

Looking to do some RTW stuff....can't really plan if the ideas are appealing however there is some health stress at the destination........... i.e. UK/London............Milan..........

Asia too soon to tell. I expect there will be some places that won't be fully fit and functional when we may be ready, so with that potential timing difference I intend to continue enjoying and discovering Australia; what I had missed for many years ón the run'.

Another trip now.It is our year to spend Christmas with the grandkids. This time they wanted to cross the Nullabor so it is the Indian Pacific from Sydney arriving in Perth the afternoon of Christmas Day.Further plans to be worked out.

Husband has booked a London points trip for sept
Looking at booking a London trip early Dec for both of us, again on points
Looking at booking a trip to Tokyo sometime prior to Dec using the vouchers I still have (I didn't bother cashing them out )
Even if for whatever reason they don't happen ....it is nice to have something to look forward to at least for a while

Well I should be leaving for Japan ski trip in 3 weeks. Much better snow season than last year. But flights all cancelled and Japan closed to non-residents. Hint to all ski related businesses: DO NOT TAUNT US BY POSTING PHOTOS OF 2 METRES OF SNOW while we are locked in here.

Otherwise in 2021, I’d like to get to Dubai to see my son, or for him to get here. Not holding my breath though.

I think 2021 international travel will be interesting, we booked on 24/12/20 to NZ for the Jul school, this has already been pushed back to Sep based on what will be open/operating and can be booked within NZ.

2 planned trips,
hiring a catamaran from Airlie Beach with a bunch of friends in May. (this was cancelled last year and put back a year)
Driving to Perth from Brisbane, around October 2021, just got to depend on whether an event that was cancelled last October is just rescheduled to 2021.

I should try again and fly to Adelaide, maybe it will be 3rd time lucky.
