What would be the grounds? Not let the backbackers through?!

Even if there is an appeal upheld, there is no remedy - can't hypothetically say Verstappen wouldn't have won anyway.
 
my understanding is that if they let the back markers through, you have to let all the back markers through , not just some……I guess the morning will clear the mist !
 
Think the issue will be only select lapped cars were let through.
Not all of them which would have meant race ending under SC.

Highly unusual and really made the final lap not a race. Brand new Softs Vs 40+ lap old Hards is not a race, it's a forgone conclusion.
