About the only thing I can say with some degree of certainty is i may end up in SF at some stage next year, based on my previous couple of years experience.

Beyond that I'm not even truly sure of the extent of my 2019 travels :)

Now it looks like no SFO for me this year, but a LHR in it's place in April. Prob got a LAX as well (technically a San Diego) in May.

Ok so everything changes lol

Additional two trips to LA this year
Contemplating if we want to go to Scandinavian countries
Would have loved to have gone to Hong Kong and done train to Shanghai however , obviously , off the cards now
I can't have 8 months betweens trips !!!😳😳😳😳

I've got a great year coming up!
Feb-Mar - Wollongong - not 'travel' per se but doing a month working there if anyone in the area wants me to buy them a beer!
April - Istanbul/Capaddocia and Chicago. Hmm must book my positioning flights to MNL.
July - Costa Rica (conference)
August - Alaska cruise (conference)
September - Croatia (conference)
November - Maldives (conference)
Xmas - Sapporo, Japan skiing

Am trying to use up my professional development leave :D

A few driving trips, lots of short trips... no major trips planned yet.

- 4 days driving around Bavaria in Germany
- A long weekend in Turin, Italy
- Just over a week driving around the south west of Austria (lots of nice looking lakes, mountains etc.) and into Slovenia
- A long weekend on the Côte d'Azur
- A week in Indonesia, staying on the same island as Jakarta but exploring Yogyakarta, Solo etc.
- Christmas markets in Milan
- Christmas down under

Hopefully will add more over the course of the year but should do for now.

Our plans are going south at the moment with this Coronavirus issue. Our RTW in Apr is at risk, not so much that we are not willing to go, it is more about if Japan is added the list of countries that have travel bans (to or from) placed on them. Also over at ET further cancellations are being introduced by SQ so that may see another trip go south. Our NZ trip this weekend and September trip are still on the cards. On a positive note it will be easy to detail what we may be doing in 2021, I will just cut and paste the details from posts in this thread to the 2021 thread. Only time will tell.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Everything cancelled.

All conferences are being cancelled.

No air bookings in any system and all upcoming travel plans on hold until more details around corona comes to light.

Our trip to Germany starts mid-August and I am still assuming that it will go ahead. All the hotels we have booked so far are refundable except for one that was booked using CX points that were going to expire anyway. I have some train trips to book but they can wait a month or so.

In my opinion, by August the virus will be so widespread that travelling will make little difference.

Goodbye San Diego trip, the conference has been cancelled 🙁

I've bailed on a planned trip to the UK with my bro in May for a big family gathering. His health's not brilliant - so we've pulled the pin, whether prudent or cowardly I can't tell yet, we've each done a lazy $600. The relos will hopefully be able to make it same time next year. As his last trip to the UK was 35 years ago another year to wait is nothing

Europe in May will be binned, SQ haven't cancelled the flights yet, but with a child in year 12, dogs, house build, businesses, etc we want a holiday not a stress test in endurance or planning the great escape over multi closed borders.

On the bright side - the return of 876,000 KF miles will always put a smile on your dial :)

Middle East then Europe in April, NZ in June, USA later in the year with a number of scattered domestic flights in between. Not booking anything for my Europe trip until I touch down so that I can stay agile.

Two main destinations: Iceland and Rwanda/ Tanzania. :)
Still planning to go to both....as long as Sq don't cancel the flights in June to Reykjavik. Hoping the pandemic does not reach Africa otherwise our Nov trip may have to be canned. :(

Currently 50 active cases in Iceland.

We’re watching everything with interest but our Southern Africa trip in July/August is still on. Intrepid hasn’t sent anything out as yet. I have no spleen so have a medical interest in this but we’re not cancelling anything.

Between now and November we have 16 flights over five trips with four just weekend getaways here at home. Since my last addition to the thread we’ve booked Kangaroo Island for the October long weekend and Canberra for a weekend in November.
