Congratulations to Tess Coady Bronze medal πŸ₯‰ Women's snowboard slopestyle

Well done to NZ's Zoi Sadowski-Synnott Gold πŸ₯‡ in the same event

I was surprised to hear the commentator during the mens moguls on Saturday night mention that the judges hold back on the scores of higher ranked skiers going first to allow them to score better the following lower ranked skiers.

Impossible for all but the most highly experienced and qualified viewer to understand the scoring in events like this. Good viewing though, especially for those univested in the result. The reaction of disappointment by some of the skiers also showed that even they thought a better score was deserved.

To me, it’s a bit like say figure skating. Some technical (starting score), plus some variable artistic (judgment) - the judgment part gives room in case later overall would wipe out earlier. Judges would 75% know who β€˜deserves’ it (Gold)

Congratulations to Scotty James Silver medal πŸ₯ˆ Men's snowboard halfpipe

And at the halfway mark of the women's skeleton, Aussie Jaclyn Narracott is in the lead. Event finishes tomorrow night - good to tune in to watch from about 11pm tomorrow
