2019 - The year in flight

I'm having trouble with GCM
I put it the details and save changes and then when I go to the list or go to the next one and then come back to it, changes to the bottom image.
I've tried deleting the whole flight and adding it again and it just won't play nice. It's happening to quite a few of my flights. Any suggestions?
I ran into this issue too. The problem is what seems like spaces in front of the Plane information. I think it's inserting tab characters which then throws the fields out of order. Try clicking in front of the 737-800 and backspacing to get rid of the extra spaces.

Boy that was really hard work - every time I put in a plane type I couldn't remove the spaces and it just stuffed up the whole thing and then when I went to edit it totally stuffed the next flight. In the end I just left the plane type blank. But overall a quiet year for me.

I added Innamincka airport and it says it is in Australia but shows as the bottom of Africa on the map.

So I can't work out how many miles I covered because it thinks that I did a very long trip in a little Cessna from mid north of South Australia to the bottom of Africa.

5 countries - 17 airports. New ones for me DOH, BHX, INM, BVI, YLEC, YHAW and ZQN

New airlines Bush Pilots (no code for them) and QR.

Did you try the ICAO code (YINN) instead of the IATA code (INM) for Innamincka? I know when I was flying around small strips in Africa I had to find alternate codes for some of the strips.

I had to add the airport and used both codes but doesn't seem to work with either

Longest flights BNE-SIN-BNE in January
Shortest flight Fly Corporate BNE-CFS 202miles
2 cancelled trips due to getting sick; and I still have a $500 Qantas credit still to use.

Highlights:
  • Visiting Sri Lanka for my son's wedding, taking the family along with us
  • Finding out I could buy fridges and washing machines in the Duty Free shops at Colombo Airport on arrival
  • Swapping my Bus Class seat with my mother on the trip over, and after many protests she agreed and went up front, to be greeted by the CSM as "...the lady who had been thrown out of Economy"
I forgot to mention under the Highlights...
  • Being on jb747's last flight from SYD to SIN, meeting him and being able to sit in his Office once in Singapore

A new role this year meant some more travel, though that will slow down in 2020. Also enjoyed some travel time with Mrs Excel, our last big holiday together being way back in 2015.

All centred around Australia and Asia.

Sectors: 46
Miles: 64,783 // 104,258 km
Class: 39 economy // 7 business (all points)
6 flights in a dreaded middle seat

New airlines: TG, MI

New aircraft: This might seem crazy but it was my first time in a 747! So glad to have the opportunity to ride in one. Even in economy I can see why they're so widely loved.

New airports/cities: BKK, CNX, BDO, CGK, TAC - enjoyed Thailand for the first time (through Bangkok to Chiang Mai), visited Java in Indonesia for the first time (Bandung and Jakarta).

Also, while we have visited a bit of the Philippines before, 2019 saw our first stop in the island of Leyte, flying into Tacloban to visit a child we have sponsored through Compassion for 4 years.

Shortest flight: Very close between NRT-ITM (462 km) and MNL-BCD (478km).

Longest flight: SYD-BKK, slotting in at #7 in my longest ever flights list (7524km).

Best new experience: Definitely meeting the child we sponsor and understanding their life and how phenomenally different the world is in different places. Travel really has the power to widen our perspectives and I'm finding more and more that my main memories from trips are the people I've met along the way.

Also, I won the Cebu Pacific quiz game twice and have two new passport holders :)

I've worked out what I've done. I put the longitude at 14.73 instead of 140.73 and although it says I can edit it (which I can, I can't save it)

Any suggestions @support 1577505966383.png

19 Flights, 48001 miles

I did the CX error fare DAD-HKG-JFK so that was a clear winner for me.

Longest flight: HKG-JFK
New airports: DAD
New airlines: SilkAir, Bangkok Airways

I don't believe I have access. The fix may take a little while longer than you'd hope. I'll see what I can do.
