I don't really have a bucket list for 2016, have just felt humbled by reading tonight of the hopes and dreams of some fellow travellers.
I'm going to try my best not to sweat the small stuff and appreciate the travel experiences that I have.

Not sure about the outside bath for Tasmania  . That's the Freycinet Peninsula in the background, looking across Great Oyster Bay, quite a popular stretch of water!

Eat a cronut in NYC.

I know, I have high ambitions. Sadly, due to lack of paid annual leave available I have only 1 trip booked. Maybe next year's bucket list will look a bit better :)

Good portion of the system is abandoned, bypassed by the highway system.

Japan is next for me. September planned. Before, back to Turkey, (one of my favs) in Feb/March.

As for the list, have done 9. Most recent, and their #1 Havana. Truly recommend Cuba to one and all.

Norway in a few days

Machu Picchu in May.

Macchu Picchu is wonderful!

Norway might be a tiny bit chilly at this time, but enjoy! Not sure if you've been before, but it is super expensive!

First time for both locations.

Norway will be Bergen, Tromso (chasing the Northern Lights, fingers crossed) and an overnighter in Oslo.

Bring on some cold weather... the past two weeks we've been getting sunburnt in Italy

1/16, myself! Doing well ;)

It's rather unlikely, but I have a faint hope that I can twist the fact that I report to a manager in France into a work-funded trip over there, given that I've never been to Europe... just need to find a valid business justification and some budget ;) (alas, corporate policy dictates Y travel only...)

Apart from that, I'm thinking of burning some spare VA points and going down to Tasmania for the first time, or if I can find the money, maybe taking my sister to Japan (I've been there, but it'd be a first for her).

(If everything goes to plan, my other bucket list item for this year or early 2017 will be booking a QF 280K award for flying at some point in 2017 or 2018...)

I've planned my two main trips already. SoCal, SEA and Whistler in March, for our main annual holiday. Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin in September for work/conference and hopefully catching up with old friends. Domestically I'll be doing Sydney, Gold Coast, Noosa, Caloundra and maybe Melbourne and Perth, depending on leave passes (both from work and my partner). Happy Newie to all.

Mmm. Tallinn would be nice. Bagan appeals too. Mrs Pineapple would always like more French countryside. Cairo - aborted this Xmas in favour of a rellie run. Saigon (cough). One stop away from KBL; another visit to Istanbul, Iran is handy and high on the list, Mashhad and/or Shiraz. The Jebel Akhdar and the drive up the coast from Dubai to Musandam. In fact anywhere that isn't Mall of Dubai.

Cheers skip.
