2000 Aadvantage miles for USD$15

For those of you who want to buy a few cheap miles and keep your miles alive at the same time check out:

$15 for 2000 American Airlines Miles ($0.0075 per mile) - View from the Wing

It says the offer in the blog post has expired but when you click through it is still active. You need to signup for a free trial and get billed for the first month at USD$14.99 and then 30 days later I got the miles awarded. I cancelled my account before the second rebill and still got the miles fine.

Just doing it again for my wife. Wish the app worked for Aussies as looks like good value but it is geo locked to the US ITunes store.

Here's the direct link rather than the View From The Wing article which is still working for me right now. I only signed my wife up last night and all went through fine, apart from the usual trick of adding a 0 to my postcode to make the credit card work:
