2 wheel cabin bag - so hard to find

This might start the 2 v 4 wheel arguments, but I want / need a new "international" sized cabin bag and I would like a 2 wheeler, under 2kg and robust enough to be occasionally checked.
Looking around the luggage stores and even online it is all 4 wheels.
Any suggestions ?

Re the Roncato Ironik: found the receipt for my eBay purchase.
Mine came from Cuoieria i Florence.
Cost was € 55.30 plus € 19.00 for shipping. I thought that very reasonable.
I bought it in a colour called 'beige' but it is more of a light grey, with distinctive green zips and mid-grey lining.
Have only done one long journey with it so far: Georgia + NE Turkey (lots of man-handling in and out of a tour bus), then France via Greece and finally rural Wales and back to Melbourne. Looking a little grubbby now, but mainly because a container of orange juice leaked onto it in the boot of the tour bus. The stickiness scrubbed up better than I expected at the next hotel, but it still looks a little travel-worn.

Oh, that's a disappointment. I found one here Roncato Ironik carry-on upright 415113 - Scalia Group for €68 but only in a colour called "camouflage". They ship for free to EU & USA and say they do ship worldwide; perhaps worth getting a quote for Australia.

It looks as though Cuorieria, the company I got mine from, no longer stocks the brand at all. Perhaps mine was just a chance purchase of discontinued stock. There are several still on eBay for AU$109.83 + AU$70.03 (watch out, as some are larger sizes and/or with 4 wheels). But, I agree, that's a little pricey compared with my purchase.

I like my Carribee soft two-wheeler. It converts to a comfortable backpack as well. It comes in at 2.6kg so may be too heavy for the OP.

I am thinking of also getting a traditional int size suitcase to shave some weight from my carryon when I don't need the backpack.

What are peoples experience on international J with the 10 kg weight restriction? I am trying to work out if I can get away with a one of these small suitcase plus a backpack. I need a laptop, sneakers and pair of thongs plus some clothes. My normal checked in luggage for work trips is around 16kg. I can shed a couple of kilos but I might struggle at ten!

I need a laptop, sneakers and pair of thongs plus some clothes. My normal checked in luggage for work trips is around 16kg. I can shed a couple of kilos but I might struggle at ten!

You should be fine with those airlines if you are 12kg or so. I flew QF and QR recently on a number of legs with no worries. From memory CX have never checked my carry on. The trick is to have a bag that doesn't look over weight.

The only time I had to drop some weight was in SIN with the contract UL check-in staff. So I took my winter jacket out to carry loose and it was fine. Of course once I was through security it went back into my bag.

My experiences with them is that you would be very unlucky to get pulled up with hand baggage weighing 14-16 kg.

QR allow 14kg in 2 pieces, max 10; Qantas the same.

QR I think tag your carry-on bag at check-in. Sometimes they ask you to put it on the scale so they can attach the tag other times they've just handed me the tag.

This is the 50cm version. The 55cm which is still carryon friendly is a four wheeler I believe.

Ha, yes, this is what I was thinking! I think I can squeeze what I need in one of these little cases and then just lift it up in to the locker like it does not weigh v much.

I bought some packing cubes for Xmas, and straight away my carryon gained 2kg.
