I received a card from Amex a few days ago, and just registered for the promotion which gives me and extra 2 points per dollar spend up to 50,000 points until 31st December..

I asked if that meant that the limit of 50,000 was of bonus points or points in total, and was told bonus points.

Does this sound correct to those who have received offers like this before?

yup i got the same thing in my post . I have ACS gold credit card.. no fees and bonus on the top...

Amex rang me on this one back in June. 2 points for every dollar - NO CAP - card fee $ 250 for 2 years. They upsold me from a AMEX PLATINUM to the Amex Ultimate Qantas card. I am up to almost 200,000 points since then and still earning. I'm trying for 2 return trips to the USA:lol::!:

Sorry for the delay. Left the details at work. To apply you have to ring Amex on 1300 363 276. The keyword is Fast Trolley. Good luck.

Does it mention anywhere on the postcard received though that it is limited to those only who have received it?

The card mentions "for holders of the ICAA Platinum card"
