I’d love the passes if still available for my upcoming trip to Japan. Given the Sydney Qantas international lounge is currently unavailable, I won’t use them for the long dom-international transit, but they’ll make our wait before the first leg at Hobart International Airport a bit more bearable. I know a lot of people sneer at the Hobart lounge, but compared to the jungle outside, it’s a relative oasis of calm. Last time I flew out of HBA, I watched two men skull three pints each before their 9.50am flight. Desperate times.

Dang. I don’t think HBA is ever going to finish renovating. There was a story in the local paper today about a Hungry Jacks opening in the expanded waiting area in 2027. It gives us an indication of their timelines.
