I had the same discount as reported on Ozbargain. Booked 2 for Mel-Syd return. Outbound in Y and return in J, the total cost was 27,200 (13,600 pp). Have tried another dummy booking but the costs are showing up as 40,800 (20,400 pp) now.

Points have been deducted and I have chosen my seats, hopefully I don't get a call about a mistake fare :p

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Interesting that you also get a discount for (say) the CBR-MEL leg of a CBR-MEL-AKL booking.

Also works in reverse, so if you want to fly AKL-MEL... just sayin'.
