You know what would have been really good? Twenty per cent off for Silver, Gold and Platinums and 10 per cent for everyone else. Call me arogant but I don't fancy competing with the once-a-year flyer who just signed up to the latest ANZ 75k offer.

The Qantas Frequent Spender program.

That aside, it's a nice offer.

I wonder if you were to book a J award then change it to another date outside of promo (fee free) would they come after you for the 15% on change?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

seems the poorly worded email is just suggesting i visit QLD - the small print says australia wide

It seems a few people over on Ozbargain have gotten some interesting discount but I can't replicate it. Eco one way Business the other.

I snapped up a couple of seats to LDH from Sydney for July but it looks like only the BNE-LDH flights are showing now!

I wonder whether all the SYD-LDH reward seats were bought or if Qantas just pulled that route from redemptions during school holidays.

A good idea. I might also book there!

Good news - the SYD-LDH flights are showing again too! Must have been a glitch this morning...

If anyone has existing bookings in J of long enough distance it will pay to cancel and rebook where the discount exceeds the 5k pts cancellation fee.

What?!? An offer I can use ... ?!?

Mrs BD and self have a week in PD planned next June was contemplating a J-Award to Cairns ... oh Happy Days ...

Regards,

BD

Is there a trick to getting the discount? Just did a couple of searches that returned standard pricing.

As per the email:

Select the 'Use points - Classic Flight Rewards only' option when searching for your flight

Seems you must do this at the home screen.
