Just received a letter offering 15% bonus points when transferring from a credit or charge card to Qantas FF program.

Seems to be a targeted promotion so I'm not sure about the availability to those who did not receive such a letter but I am kinda curious how frequently people receive these and whether 15% is the max that's come around?

Given I warehouse points in Citibank (CBG) and I've received two of these in six months - is it almost safe to assume my CBG earns at 1.4375 points per dollar? :D

You can't transfer Citi reward points to Qantas...

You can with the Citibusiness Gold card. You get 1.25 Citi Rewards per $1 spent and they can be transferred to QF at 1:1

The CBG can transfer to other airline partners too but I think you're better off with Signature/Select if intending to do that.

Citibusiness gold card - there's a blast from the past!

Yes the CBG, I wouldn't know what to do without it. I also have the Signature but haven't transferred points anywhere else yet.

I haven't received my offer from QF yet. 8th to the 15th of August isn't much time since it can take up to a week to transfer points.

Just looked at the T&Cs on the back of the letter. It also says:
"We are sending you this offer as you have redeemed rewards points earned on a credit or charge card for Qantas Points in the past."

Unsure whether or not it's related to me shoving points through the last time they gave me 15% :p

I also transferred Citipoints to QF last November which I think was the last time they offerred a bonus.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I received this also (curiously, via snail mail: not sure why?); presumably because I periodically transfer Amex points to QFF. sadly, I transferred a whole lot just recently, so it isn't much of a benefit for me.

The last time they made an offer like this, there was a thread where I think it was established that there are only 3 types of cards which allow you to transfer to QFF at will and are accordingly eligible. IIRC, they were the Amex Platinum, Citi Business Gold, and a corporate Amex linked to QFF. Is that right?

My Amex card is not Platinum; it is styled "Rewards Advantage Card" which IIRC was an invitation-only card offered to long-standing Amex cardholders some time ago.

I transferred from my corporate card during the last 15% promo but haven't seen anything so far on this one.

I also received this offer today via snail mail. It is only the 2nd time I have received the offer, and don't think I will be transferring any points this time around.

I have an AMEX Platinum Charge card and got the offer today and it was from Qantas not Amex.

Obviously different value to different people but I really wonder why a snail mail letter and not an email:?:

I think we are all wondering about the snail mail thing, particularly from Qantas who normally email every offer.

I feel a little eager but just transferred 30 minutes into the promotional period, before I forget :p

I also received this offer in the post yesterday . My points are normally transferred straight from my Westpac Earth Qantas card so I assume that this will only apply to other transfers I do from my work Diners card ?

Just wondering if 15% is the normal offering for this sort of promo or do Qantas sometimes offer higher rates ?

QF must have worked out my CBG is no longer and I've not been getting regular transfer from other cards.

Sorry QF but Amex lets me choose who gets my points, and CB at least gives me the option of VA or SQ.

I'd say QFF is the best way to hurt them. Hopefully they re-think the next round of enhancements.

I just received the offer today, and this is a normal offer.
There was one offer last year where 2 first lounge invitations were sent to you if you transferred 200k obviously not targeted at WP/P1.
