10k QFF points for using referral link for Westpac QFF cards

I have a bonus points referral offer for the Westpac Altitude Qantas Black and Platinum cards:

In addition to the current Westpac Altitude promotions, you can receive 10,000 bonus Qantas points for signing up with my referral link.

The terms state the referrer should only send referral messages to friends and family who genuinely want to receive them so rather than post the link publicly, please let me know (either in the thread or via PM) if you'd like to be a friend of mine and you'd genuinely like to receive a referral link.

Steps to receive the 10,000 bonus points are:
1. I'll PM you the referral link.
2. Activate the link by 17 December 2020.
3. Apply, be approved, and make an eligible purchase on either a Westpac Altitude Qantas Black or Platinum card by 21 January 2021.
4. Referral bonus points will be credited within 6-8 weeks.

Using the referral link does not change the minimum spend criteria to receive the 60,000 (Platinum) or 90,000 (Black) sign-up bonus.


To be eligible for the 10,000 point referral bonus, you cannot have held a Qantas earning Westpac Altitude in the last 12 months.

I will also receive 10,000 points for successful applications.

No spend criteria?

There's no spend criteria for the 10k referral points, however all terms for the 60k or 90k bonuses (inc eligibility criteria & min spend) are the same as any other application.

Will amend original post for clarity.
 
I have a referral link as well . You will receive an additional 10000 qff points and I will receive 20000 qff points .

Just dropping a note to say the promotion doesn't seem to be set up correctly at the moment - both my own referral link and @blacksultan's are giving this message when I open them from my partner's QFF account (who should be eligible as she's never held a Westpac card)

I spoke with QFF support on the phone yesterday and they could replicate the issue, they'd escalated it to someone and said they'd call or email me when it was resolved. They couldn't confirm whether the message was a false negative or not. Will report back when I've heard more.

Thanks . I tested it on one of my other qff accounts and it activated successfully .

How odd. I've tested both links on one other QFF account and it's giving the same error.

Just to confirm, after you click the red Active Offer button on your referral landing page, it doesn't show a yellow error bar at the top of the page on the next screen? (it's easy enough to miss if you're not looking for it)

No it says you have activated the offer .

Any update from Qantas on this? I am also getting the same error on my account and haven't held a Westpac credit card since Jan 2019

Haven't heard anything yet. Are you seeing this on @blacksultan's link, or someone elses? I will follow up with QFF today and let you know what they say.
 
Called QFF again and coincidentally got routed through to the exact same person I spoke with last week. She said no one had responded to her request which was 'odd as they [I assume the team responsible for Card Companion] usually respond within 24 hours, and they prioritise requests based on status'. Given it's now been 6 days without a response she said it had been escalated and she'd add a note to the ticket saying I'd called for an update.

She's guaranteed me a call back in 3 days to provide an update regardless of whether there's anything substantial to report.
 
Received a call from Qantas to discuss the issue, they requested further details/screenshots which I've just sent off, will post back when I know more.
 
Just trying to gauge interest: has anyone applied using the link or is planning to apply ?
 
I've held a Westpac Black card which was closed maybe 4 years ago. I clicked on all links and it says I'm ineligible, is this correct? I thought its normally the 12 months exclusion.

You should be eligible, there is an apparent problem with the promotion.

I've been having ongoing discussions with Qantas about the error. Everyone I refer to the promotion experiences the same problem. I called for an update on Friday and was told they are still investigating. The promo is open til mid December so if you can wait I would suggest doing so - I'll report back as soon as I have more info.

Surprisingly when I logged in using partners QFF number, it says eligible...
 
Hurray, just as I was beginning to lose hope that my efforts with QFF wouldn't get anywhere - I received this earlier this evening:

I've since tested using two other QFF accounts and can confirm the problem is fixed!
