No. My expectation is that from what I have read about him, the CEO is not someone youd be totally comfortable with keeping his promise, but given part of making a merger successful is keeping most of your customers happy I'm not expecting him to dud us in the honeymoon period.Fortunately we are not talking QR here.
Never bought miles before. If I bought the full 50K, how quick would the bonus miles post? Same time? And the base miles purchased take how long? Sorry if this is obvious or mentioned somewhere else.
When I purchased last week all of 100,000 miles posted within minutes.
AA's frequent flyer program is complicated by its relationship with Citi Bank. An agreement in 2009 gives Citi the right to take ownership of the AAdvantage program itself, in certain circumstances, as security against Citi's purchase of US$1 billion worth of AA miles....it also appears very likely that there will be some sort of devaluation of the AA scheme in the not too distant future. The AA scheme is looking increasingly isolated in not being devalued.
