New offer landed in the Inbox today:

Buy or gift miles through November 30, 2013 and you'll get or give a 100% bonus – up to 50,000 miles. That means you and friends will be able to redeem miles in no time and take that trip to Ireland sooner.

Yes my two sons took this latest offer up where I used my US Amex to pay. Getting the 100% bonus miles is as good as I have seen. They have had 5 deals like this in what seems to be about 2 years so it has cost about $9,000 US for them to run up 500,000 US Air Dividend Miles each. Of course you have to wait 12 days from first registering as a new account holder before you can buy any miles.
Did you say Ireland.......?

My sons offers just came in but I had already gone to their accounts and the bonus miles were there so I bought them.

no offer for me :(
Offer *4 for my family! Given we participated in the share bonus which was better I think we will only be participating enough to take them from the 100K we each have got to get us to 120K.

My offer says something like "as a first time points buyer you can get the 100% bonus". I've already purchased this year, technically not a first time points buyer.

I did note the same thing, they clearly like to bite when you purchase miles as bait!

Would anyone know if the 12-day rule for new AC also apply here (buy or gift)?

Thanks

Its a targeted offer, you cannot be targeted if you did not have an account in the last few days.

Edit: Looking at the terms once logged in: Please note that Dividend Miles accounts less than 12 days old are not permitted to Buy, Share or Gift miles. For Gift and Share transactions, the recipient account must also be 12 days old.

If you follow the link it asks for your name and number. If not eligible there is no bonus showing beyond that step.

Got the offer too today.

I had participated in last months share offer, as well as the previous 100% buy bonus offer. Also redeem points for award flight in Oct, if that helps identify trend of whom this offer is being targeted too.

The problem with being 'on the road' is that you do not carry all the miscellaneous membership numbers with you.

Good enough to remember the QFF number only, medhead !

Tough luck trying to remember anything else !!!

No emails to any, logged in to buy and no bonus showing for any of us. 3 of us.

Did you put in 50,000 in to buy and get no bonus offered on your account? My sons offers came after we had bought but the deal was there all the same for both of them.

Like many other stuffs I learned here on AFF, this is new to me.

My daily fix is fulfilled now.

(On board AA @ DFW heading to LAX for QF12 tonight) *

* can I mention seat 5A (or is that bragging, to my fellow AFFers) ?
