Those living in Queensland want to promote a rivarly with big brother.

Those living in Melbourne want to promote rivarly with Sydney.

Those living in Sydney simply get on with life.

As I am now a Queenslander I had better stay out of this discussion....

@JohnK as a Queenslander living in NSW I have perhaps a similar perspective to this "debate" and I think your comment is the smartest thing I've read on the Internet this week (though it is only Monday...;)).

4 Who cares
5 Who cares
6 Who cares
7 Who cares
8 Who cares
9 Who cares
10 Really? If that's the best you got, you've obviously run out of lame reasons.

i find people much friendlier in mel than sydney but syd has much better weather and beaches

The one reason why Melbourne is not better than Sydney-Melburnians are always coming up with articles such as 10 reasons why Melbourne is better than Sydney.
Sydneysiders just know they don't have to justify their choice.

Though even though I was born and bred in Sydney I have always gone for QLD in the State of Origin. But that was because I followed the North Sydney Bears and they always had QLD reps.

The only rivalry Queensland promotes with sydney is the football. In terms of living quality it is a given that Queensland is better.

But what is more interesting is that many of the reasons given say adelaide is better than Melbourne. Free trams, cheaper property, food fiesta, wine fiesta (an extra for adelaide), no lockouts, gridded road system (of course adelaide is OCD with gridded road systems with only 4 diagonal roads in the whole place)
