It's a while since I've done it. But without lying adjust the parameters down to get the lowest premium.

For example: take the 90 days wait, 6 months cover, $1000pm payment etc. for the Income Protection.

Just had a look at the site and want to do this too for family just not sure how yu go about it, anything I looked at was coming in at $60 a month....if you don't mind assisting how do you adjust to the lowest amount?
thanks

just set the benefits at lowest levels - e.g. income protection benefit $1000 per month, benefit period 6 months, waiting period 90 days
same with life insurance etc

For those that have already taken out policies and cancelled after 6 months - when exactly did you cancel? 1 day after 6 months from policy commencement? I don't want to get stung with month 7's premium!
Cheers

I was on the last page of the application for a life insurance policy at 8.00pm tonight when the site went down for system maintenance until 8am Sunday

I did all my calculations on seven months just in case I had to chase the bonus.

As it worked out the 10,000 point lots all posted on time after the sixth payment.
Giving time to cancel. I have even received acknowledgement of cancellation before next payment due.

These policies have a frequency loading which means they are more expensive to pay by the month, try paying annually instead. When you cancel mid year the balance of the premium is refundable.

To those who have done this; I can't see where in the application to input FF number. Am I missing something obvious or do you have to phone someone afterwards?

If I remember correctly back to when I participated in this promotion, it's one of the very last steps after the application has gone through.

It is integrated into the online application process. On the final page there is a link to link your QFF number and if pre-fills the form (link below) which you can complete manually.

Thanks samh004 and Beta4Me. So this form appears AFTER putting in credit card details and receiving policy number. Guess I just didn't have enough faith in the system to get that far.

Just thought I'd provide the details of what I signed up for today.

Honestly I would not say much and just ask for some info on their products so they feel like they are giving you something. Stick with getting the products online. I'd go to the Qantas website and find the ANZ/OnePath page under the bonus partners section and then get a quote for each of the eligible products by inputting all your details and choosing the lowest options. Then, find the two that are the cheapest combo and run with it for you and the hubby :)

Thanks and typically after all that they did not call me back....I will try and find sometime to go online and work it all out :)

I'd carefully read the terms and conditions. I suspect not. But you can always transfer the points later?
