New iOS and Android Apps - Bug Reports and Suggestions

As announced HERE and HERE, our new Apps are now available!

The Apps have been fully tested and not withstanding a few minor issues, they work pretty well.

However as more users start using them, I do expect some bugs to be identified.

Please post any bugs you find in this thread.

Please also post any suggestions you have for future releases. As we are no longer tried to Tapatalk, we can now include new features which would be of particular interest to our community.

Just downloaded the Android App. Installed fine and looks good.

Could I ask for the return of the "Participated" threads button - it has Subscribed/Unread, but I actually find Participated most useful.

The geolocation feature looks interesting - albeit I am not sure if members would be that comfortable giving out home/work address (it basically displays your Google map pin) - so maybe it needs some way of more easily turning on/off

Also in edit mode - my cursor has disappeared - typing blind and can only guess position via word underline

Please tell me you havent dropped the Participated function? I don't want to subscribe. But currently I feel a bit lost.

Downloaded the new application (iPhone6). When selecting 'Subscribe' the screen is blank - except for the 'subscribed' in blue bar across the top. Other choices (such as unread, timeline etc) appear OK.

OK, just tried again; it appeared OK; then went out and tried again - blank again. Am in 3/5 bars reception area.

Second the calls for the return of the participated function in the sidebar.

Any chance we can have a clearer demarcation between the stickied posts and the new topics? I see the pushpin icon but I think it could be clearer.

I'm not seeing any function that indicates a thread has a new post - in the old app there was a blue dot plus bolding of the topic title to indicate New content. But not seeing anything on the new app to indicate same functionality.

Happy to be corrected if any of the above are superfluous.

One thing I have noticed is that the new app doesn't seem to always know where I have read to on my PC.

I'm another who already misses the 'Participated' topics list! Please bring it back! Also, it doesn't seem to remember what is read and what is not (or where you are up to), whether it was read most recently via a desktop/browser, or via the app itself.

Feels like a silly question but where can I see PMs?

I'm not seeing any function that indicates a thread has a new post - in the old app there was a blue dot plus bolding of the topic title to indicate New content. But not seeing anything on the new app to indicate same functionality.

I believe the titles are either black if unread or grey if read, but I agree the blue dot made it easier to identify.

Also, would be good to have the ability to touch the top of the screen to scroll to the top of the topic/thread/list.

I have been using it for a couple of days. I really would like Participated back. The PM comment is another. I just feel like it is a mass of threads whereas participated became my 'space'. I usually use the App not the pc so really not sure about this. If I could I would roll back currently.

downloaded the new app and it's saying i dont have permission to log in, legacy gold subscription and it was working fine with other version?

Have the new android app on the phone and can see the timeline but when I click on a topic it goes to it for a micro second and then the screen goes blank with just the thread path. Have removed and reloaded the app but same issue.

+1 for participated. Also I've noticed a few times when clicking on an "unread" app it takes me to the first post of the thread instead of where I'm up to.

I have trouble getting Subscribed to refresh while in the thread. Have to select other thread, and then reselect Subscribed to get it updated. Also noticed while typing this that it doesn't seem to offer a capital automatically at start of a sentence.

No search function, no PM's.
I think the participated tab has been replaced by subscribe.
Lack of a search function is a serious drawback to someone who almost exclusively uses the App

Well that's sucks, I only use the mobile app.
Why remove search function and PMs? Instead of making the app better I feel it's much worse now
