    Openflights vs MyFlightRadar24

myFR24 is a superior tool, but the import and sync capability is rubbish. Took me endless amounts of cleansing and retries to get it to import my openflights export. And the tripit sync doesn't seem to work.

Experience with Australian border controls leaving the country

Understood. Thanks. We are US Citizens here in Australia on a 457/488 Visa and just had a baby. We have travel booked in January to introduce baby to the family (we're here on our own) and I have no idea if that's going to happen. We could leave, but I wouldn't expect Australia to let us back...

Experience with Australian border controls leaving the country

Curious - why wouldn't you be able to leave using your US passports and claim you were here for work or other temporary purposes?

Experience with being Upgraded then Downgraded at Check-in, Late Luggage

Yep, the other day I was upgraded at T-30 (as Gold) and then downgraded at Lounge. Thankfully someone misconnected and I still ended up up front, but it was not a peaceful time for me.

Redeem Delta eCredits on VA flights

Who knows. I highly doubt you get anything unless it's a codeshare.

Redeem Delta eCredits on VA flights

The short answer is no. Delta doesn't want to own a ticket that consists of all-code-share flights/partner metal. The long answer is, maybe. You can force Delta to price out certain tickets using ITA Powertools + ITA Matrix. I booked Vietnam this way (using an eCert). 1. Learn Matrix - ITA...

MH Partner Award - 6 Month Limit?

Update: called back and was able to book Etihad ticket for myself SYD-AUH-LHR in April next year for 87,000 + $128 AUD in J. The second ticket, for my wife, is stick in waiting for confirmation since EY hasn't approved AUH-LHR segment yet.

VA to HKG from Jul 5 2017, ex MEL

Yeah back then it was wide open. EF and Delta both showed space. Now that is no longer the case.

No, I'm looking at inventory directly on ExpertFlyer. When did you book?

Lost in translation I suppose. Congrats on getting to use those points.

MH Partner Award - 6 Month Limit?

Etihad. But his words were "partner". Maybe because they aren't OW.

Enrich Program changes from 10th June 2017

VERY interesting. They told me tonight they won't book partner flights out past 6 months.

MH Partner Award - 6 Month Limit?

Just got off the phone with Enrich where I asked to get a quote on points required for flight early next year. Gentleman said they can only book partner awards 6 months in advance. Anyone else experience that?

That's awesome! When is the flight?

Enrich Program changes from 10th June 2017

No word on that beyond the new points & cash option. That may make them more likely the tell you availability without miles in your account though.

The real tragedy is with partner awards. https://www.jodynichols.com/news/2017/5/21/malaysia-enrich-devalued-again

JAL Award w/ QFF - QF not seeing inventory

The curious part is that both agents both specifically said that while they couldn't see J availability, they COULD see economy. That's bizarre in my opinion and makes me think they may actually be right, and something else is going on. Why would they need a separate system for a different class?

JAL Award w/ QFF - QF not seeing inventory

Curious as to if anyone has tried to redeem QF points for JL awards recently. I see availability for the flight I want (next April) on both JL and BA's site (BA meaning it should be visible to QF) but 2 different agents claim it's not in their inventory yet. Anyone else experience this?
