Hi everyone,
I'm in a bit of a bind and was wondering if anyone here could help point me in the right direction.
Last year me and my partner booked a trip to the US. We booked the SYD-LAX return sitting in W via delta.com (as there was a price glitch that made it much cheaper than booking via VA). One of of internal US flights was also paid for by cash on Delta (the rest were booked with points). Unfortunately, due to me getting a new job, we had to cancel the trip. When cancelling the flights on Delta.com I was given eCredits for the value of the flights minus $400 per passenger so I've ended up with a bit over $3000 worth of credit.
I have to use this credit by December this year and I am not able to squeeze in a trip to the states in this time so I've been looking for a way to use this Delta credit on VA domestic or short-haul international flights. The delta website won't let me book any VA flights except for codeshares to and from LAX. Does anyone know a way to use this credit without flying to the US?
Thanks in advance.
