    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Last year, BW's January's points were paid on the 15th, so I wouldn't expect this month's much before the 13th (January 1 was a Friday last year and a Sunday this year).

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Well duh! Why didn't I think of that! Thanks for the suggestion. All from BW and coming in at 100K/month to someone I know's account! It's being emptied each month. Another, why didn't I think of that, idea! Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, indeed. It just seems so wasteful to allow BW to reverse the points.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Apologies to those less fortunate, but is anyone else about to hit the 600K limit for family transfers in any 12 month period, thanks to BW? Does anyone know how to continue transferring points, despite this limit?

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

A very late update. This account was closed the next day, Oct 11. Was someone at BW watching? The account keeping fee was reversed, as was the interest earned. For some reason though, the points were actually paid.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

It sure is quiet in here since BW shut almost everyone's account(s). And Telstra killed off 1¢ payments. (Or has some creative person managed to resurrect them?)

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

This account is still open, 4 weeks after BW said they would close it. They even charged the account keeping fee on Oct 1, so the balance is now -$6.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

I assume you mean statement. There's been no statements issued since the advised closure date, as there have been no transactions and the account is still open. Should either of these change, then I would expect a statement. Will be interesting to see if BW pay the QFF points earnt in September.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Bizarrely, the account's still open a week after BW said it would be closed (13/09). Could the FOS have had a word with BW, about closing accounts just 5 days after the account holder receives the notification?

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

The last of the accounts I had access to, was due for closure today. It's still open at this stage, though. Just want to check. Have there been any closure dates specified, other than August 25, September 5 and September 13?

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

The last statement issued for this account shows points for transactions (that were paid to the QFF account) AND an adjustment, which deducts the same number of points, so the total points earned for the month is zero. I've transferred all the QFF points from this account to another account, to...

That account was closed within the last hour.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Received QFF points today for 3 accounts, despite none of the 3 accounts producing a statement showing the points and 2 accounts being closed August 25 (remember, when the account is closed, BW don't pay points in the last month, according to the T&C's). Now I'm annoyed that I stopped payments...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

"... the Bank has provided you a 14 day period to open a new facility ..." That's a lie. Has anyone received the letter 14 days before the closure date? In my case, it's two letters 8 days before closure and one letter 7 days before closure! I wonder what the FOS would have to say about...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

WTF! BW appear to have no rhyme and reason to the order of the closures. Are they doing them by postcode? Curiously, you can still apply to open this type of account. The letter says nothing about reapplying. I wonder if anyone's game to try straight away? Though, I wouldn't bother if it's only...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Quite possible. If so, why didn't BW just make a rule that you won't earn any points unless the transaction amount was above, say, $1, or that repeated payments of the same or similar amounts, on the same day, to the same business, would result in the loss of points for those transactions'...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Has anyone else been paid interest on the day your account was closed, only to have it withdrawn, with a description of "CLOSING ENTRY"? Will my partner & I be receiving a cheque in the mail for 7¢ and 6¢ respectively? Both my partner & I emailed them on the night before the closure. It didn't...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

The only problem is that document is for Credit Cards! Here's the relevant statement from page 4 of 'Bankwest Qantas Rewards Program for the Bankwest Qantas Transaction Account' under '7. When you will not accrue Qantas Points and when we may cancel your points'. It's the last paragraph of 7...

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

With direct debit payments, I'm pretty sure that Telstra will only debit the outstanding balance on the bill due date, not the balance shown on the bill. No CC fees either. So you could let Telstra work out how much to pay and make the payment, instead of you having to do that.

    Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

It's possible BW are working through a list of those who have earned the most QFF points. Obviously, those who have had 2 or more cards in use the longest, will have earned more points than those with only 1 card, or those using 2 cards, but for not as long. BW may eventually close 1 card...
