Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Interestingly I received a letter for the 2nd of our accounts. However this one was not to cancel the account rather it was a warning that it would be closed if the account continued to make payments that would normally be made as one transaction into multiple small transactions.

This account had stopped making transactions after Telstra moved to a $1 minimum.

They are a deadset shambles!

A question for anyone have managed to transfer error points by BW last month leaving the QF account balance 0 . Did they tried to reverse it and leave an negative balance , it look like BW IT done something wrong again today .
Sometimes it's best not to make a song and dance about these things. We may assume that this thread is a regular read at BW.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

This account is still open, 4 weeks after BW said they would close it. They even charged the account keeping fee on Oct 1, so the balance is now -$6.

A very late update.

This account was closed the next day, Oct 11. Was someone at BW watching?

The account keeping fee was reversed, as was the interest earned. For some reason though, the points were actually paid.

Apologies to those less fortunate, but is anyone else about to hit the 600K limit for family transfers in any 12 month period, thanks to BW?

Does anyone know how to continue transferring points, despite this limit?

Haha - nice problem to have :) Well done!

Not sure this would necessarily all be from BW though, e.g. you could have 200K from BW and 400K from other things (CC signups, CC usage, even for flights:cool:), you still have to move them all out/use them as QFF does not differentiate when the big bad wolf comes knocking.

You could just spend the points in the Qff store.

Or book an award ticket and take the cancellation fee hit if required. Or book something similar to what you actually want and change the booking to a later date if needed.

Well duh! Why didn't I think of that! Thanks for the suggestion.

All from BW and coming in at 100K/month to someone I know's account! It's being emptied each month.

Another, why didn't I think of that, idea! Thanks for the suggestion.
