    eSims, what is your experience.

No access to corporate plan details from the Optus App (needs a username/password). But I can see my usage on the company on-line portal. However, looking through my received SMS history, there are very few SMS on-time codes received. Most important are from banks for transaction...

    eSims, what is your experience.

Cool. Thanks. Free WiFi included for my hotel stay, so should be easy to do once there. No need for any connectivity until we reach the first hotel as the shuttles for LAX airport hotels come regularly and no need to call the hotel.

    eSims, what is your experience.

 Reality is that I would not know if it was triggered unless some finance person decides my SIM costs need to be reviewed/justified that month. I don't normally see the bill and always stay "below the radar" for finance department review :) Thanks. That is the conclusion I had reached...

    eSims, what is your experience.

Yes, I should be able to download the app. I have a second AppleID that I have used in the past for a some apps that are only available via the USA App Store. It's a bit of a pain swapping IDs, but can be done. Hopefully I can use my USA-linked AppleID on both our phones to download the app...

    Whisky Club Referral.

Note the Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky offered by Qantas Wine for $119.99 is not the same drop as the Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Cask Matured offered by The Whisky Club as the March whisky of the month for $125 (plus $15 shipping). The Pedro Ximénez...

    eSims, what is your experience.

Planning for a USA trip with Mrs. NM later in the year. We both have eSIM compatible iPhones. My phone physical SIM is with Optus and provided/paid by my employer (phone is my own), and this is a personal holiday so I cannot just activate global roaming and use the company account SIM in a way...

    What cheeses me off

I have, on several occasions, enjoyed telling Americans how their country-men often get very confused when visiting Australia because we use the metric system of measurements. Metric length, weight and volume are normally pretty straight forward for Americans so understand, but the one that...

Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

Those people saying they rarely wash dishes by hand must not have children in the household. When the kids start to get antsy about doing chores, our dishwasher would "fault" and I would deem it broken and in need of service/repairs. "Oh well, we'll just have to wash by hand again until I can...

Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

Yes, some nice features. But how long does it take to fill the bath sink and how much water does it use! And one really dirty pan/pot and the water needs changing. I think I would prefer 2 smaller sinks of different sizes. One bigger one for large items and a smaller one for water volume...

Hi @Muhsin. The AFF moderation team has highlighted your issue to the AFF technical team. So hopefully this can be sorted out quickly for you. It seems you can successfully log into your AFF membership and hence post in the forums. As noted above, FFS and AFF were "merged" at the end of 2023...

50 people injured on SYD-AKL LATAM flight LA800

I assume this Ypu Tube video (included in the ABC news article linked previously) is the "switch" with the cover referenced in the Oz online article posted by @RooFlyer It certainly shows that the seat movement is slow. I do wonder, if this was the real cause, what body part, appendage or...

50 people injured on SYD-AKL LATAM flight LA800

Certainly lots of interesting information circulating. While we won't "know" the details until official reports are published, discussion of possible causes, actions, results etc. can be very interesting. We just need to keep in mind that it is speculation until confirmed. Speculation is fine...

50 people injured on SYD-AKL LATAM flight LA800

    LAX Lounge Options Flying AA

I know you said you did not want to leave the airport, but maybe worth considering a quick pop to In-N-Out Burger. This is also reported as a plane-spotter's favourite location. Some example for a LAX In-N-Out Burger stopover https://www.danielecook.com/you-can-walk-to-in-n-out-from-lax/...
