    Trans-Tasman J

Can you please recall a time when Qantas offered a full dessert (beyond cheese and ice cream) on MEL-PER-MEL? I am thinking it was more than 15 years ago, when the main meal service was less involved and there was also two additional crew members on a wide body.

Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

FYI, cabin crew are under instruction NOT to redirect customers to the general boarding queue, but to ask them to use it next time - to which most people roll their eyes, snatch their boarding pass and walk off. It's easy to see why most cabin crew don't bother. At the end of the day, in most...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Domestic crew will sometimes do the service from back to front on the A333 as the galley is positioned behind Business Class. It makes it easier for the 'runner' (either the CSM or the galley operator) to fulfil ad hoc drinks requests, offer tea and coffee and clear the trays. On East-West...

    Smoky hot meals on QF

The temperature on the 737-800 ovens is in Fahrenheit.

    What the water.....

It is temporary out of Q Catering ports due to packaging/supply issues.

    NC headphones restrictions

With reference to the original question, and assuming in was a mainline-operated flight, I would suggest the CSM was using outdated information. The only restriction regarding headsets is wireless headphones using Bluetooth technology can only be operated during cruise and headset jacks on the...

    QF43 Y seat map

There will be seats blocked due weight restrictions for SYD-DPS leg. My educated guess is it is related to that. Perhaps the will try to sell those seats as an upgrade to non-status customers?

New style of head-phones in Domestic Y

Note the Qantas magazine states that you must use a two-pin adaptor for single pin headsets.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Perhaps I should have been more clear... The international -200s of course have international galleys and appropriate crew rest facilities now. They will not after the refurb as all -200s will be in the same configuration with respect to seats and galleys.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

VH-EBG/L are supposedly being refurbished to the same configuration as the domestic -200s. The galleys are not suited to anything but short international sectors, both in space and the lack of adequate chillers. Also, there is no tech crew rest on the new configuration, so that counts out...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

It was mentioned that refurbishment of the domestic A330s was tied to the -300s for the reason that the seats were being moved across. It was also mentioned that the -300 seats were higher spec and higher comfort, despite being from the same model. I have heard from a couple of sources that...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

EBA-EBJ (minus EBG-I and L) are actually getting their seats replaced with those from the -300s. The seats on the -300 were of a higher spec (comfort-wise?). It may have something to do with the USB power requirement for the iPads as these seats previously had in seat IFE (that's just a guess...

    Qantas to extend main meals

The extended meal bands seems to be for economy only, with the 'all-day dining' in J/C proving popular.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

All QF 737s have IFE. Surely you mean on-demand IFE? ;)

    A 380 premium economy seats

That seems extremely odd, given the seat map indicates that it is NOT an exit row. The space between the bulkhead and toilets forms the dedicated cross over for those exits. I'd ask to speak to someone else. I can confirm that a bassinet is present in that location.

    A 380 premium economy seats

24DEF has a bassinet, so your young ones are eligible to set there.

FA asks for headphones to be taken off for landing

Not sure. I can only reference the inflight magazine. The FAs seem to have been given rules to enforce with no background info. Apparently, the mainline FAs were even reminded about the single pin thing only this week.
