Hi All,

New style of head-phones on Thursday's 671 and Sunday's 839. With the padded cover over the sponge, this gives them a better esthetic. Not sure whether psycho-suggestive, but the sound quality seemed better (sat in the same seats with the old head-phones on the 754).

The red Q logo has gone from the band, replaced with the Qantas logo on the sides.

Apologies for the poor quality of the photos.

Thanks for posting. I'm glad they haven't moved totally to the earphones. Hope the sound is a bit better than the old ones though.

Got those on the weekend. They certainly look better, but I wasn't convinced they actually did a better job.

Are there pictures included in the first post?
Can any one see them?

I'm using the new app on my iPhone and just see 3 white squares.

pics work fine on the PC (IE).

I BYO headphones aswell but don't use one of those 2-into-1 adaptors, I just usually plug my jack into one of the sockets and jiggle it around till it works in both LR speakers. Do others use an adaptor?

I would hope they're better than the old ones. I could only ever get one ear to work on them.

Yeah I carry a couple around in my headphone case.

Note the Qantas magazine states that you must use a two-pin adaptor for single pin headsets.

I have seen these new headphones the last few times on Qantas. Are they really better than the previous headphones? I had a problem with one of the sets on my last flight and had to use a new set.

One pin = two contacts = mono sound. Two pins = stereo
jiggle it around until it works = reduced life, broken socket and unhappy passenger who follows.
buy an adaptor.
