Syd to Bussels via Abu Dhabi, VA ticketed - transit question

Yep, I have done this several times but to London and Paris only - on EY/VA and through AUH, ticketed by VA. The procedure will be the same. As Must...Fly! above, there is no reason why the airline should not be able to do this at all.

Syd to Bussels via Abu Dhabi, VA ticketed - transit question

Hi Kaz, They'll definitely be able to through-check your son to BRU and print all the boarding passes in SYD as it's all on the same booking. On the return, visit the Etihad counter in Brussels, where he should be given boarding passes all the way to Sydney. Baggage will be checked all the way...

    VA Double Status Credit Offer

They are journalists ... VA normally feed them a lot of info without an actual publicly-available press release. I was going to requalify gold anyway, but this just means less flights to get there :P Not worth it for me to shoot for platinum unfortunately.

    Al Reem kounge AUH

Ah, your original post says T1. My last flight through AUH was scheduled into T3 but operated into T1 which was handy and annoying at the same time.

    Al Reem kounge AUH

Correct, ywwol! I didn't read OP's response properly. The Al Rheem is in T1. Justinf - as you arrive in T1 (poor you, brace yourself for the horrid smell) you can be in the lounge in about 5 minutes. Your next flight to LHR likely from T3, so the comments still apply for that. It'll likely take...

    Al Reem kounge AUH

I did this last month. Definitely doable in 2 hours, although it is a bit of a walk so leave 15 or so minutes for that. As gold, you get to use the priority line through security which is good. As for the lounge itself... Pretty small and the showers weren't terribly clean.

Vodafone plans to let customers “Roam Like Home” in UK, USA & NZ for $5 per day

Vodafone $5/day roaming plans Just saw the released detail of Vodafone's $5 per day roaming plans, and it looks alright. Pity I'm not on one of the qualifying plans though. Might be useful to other travellers. Also interesting to note is that calls will be handled in Hobart of all places...

How safe are your details with Virgin?

No, this is very certainly against company policy and should be reported.

    VA/NZ service on TT

Seat selection is a no-go TT when VA is the marketing carrier and NZ the operating carrier. Have had no issues with baggage or lounge access at either end. When going AKL -> Pacific Islands on a VA ticketed fare though there's no Koru access.

"Virgin Australia gets its 100th Boeing 737"

Re: VA Gets 100 737 Month After QF Didn't they lease 737 classics to begin? Anyway, this whole argument is quite pointless and tiring. It shouldn't continue.

Can anyone tell me where this Australian airfield is?

Apparently the day this was filmed was nearing 40 celsius, reducing performance of the aircraft - don't have the source to hand at the moment though.
