Furthermore - TI is activated using QFF points for the flight on the Qantas Amex Ult (and the Premium I think as well). As far as I can see, there would be no cover for an award flight on the current Amex Plat Charge.

While this is good for earning points (QFF included), just note that the free flight is much more restricted in origin/destination on the Edge than the Reserve. So long as your relative spend at Supermarkets/Service Stations out-weighs this in points then its worthwhile to go for the edge. Cheers

Does anyone know if you are eligible for Qantas lounge access on OW Sapphire when flying Jetstar? I suspect not, but wondering if anyone knows for sure.

As a follow up, just called AMEX, after speaking to their travel team they knew about the promotion, and mentioned that I was eligible and are sending me the forms for applying. Definitely a case of the left hand not knowing the right!

Just got an email from AMEX, for every $20 (or greater) transaction (on anything as far as I can tell), get 250 bonus points in addition to normal points earned. This is up to 25,000 points, and acrues until 31 Dec 2010. Pretty decent offer....:)
