I don't mind that so much....I just think that there are to many "free loaders" who can be invited in..especially those who are not actually flying!! What is the point of that? There are still to many people in the VA lounges more often than not.

So if you have earned enough already to.mainatin status at Platinum after March 2026 when reset comes with effect 01 April..what advantage does this offer those who really fly VA? Don't see any sweetener in this....

Does it not depend on how many points credits you have though above usual.platinum requirement to maintain before you can gift gold? I'm sure actually under the more recent "enhancements" they even increased that amount required.

Can you check in using ANZ app when booked under VA code share? I am a little nervous as when you go through the process in the ANZ app it asks for.FF number and in the drop.down.does not include VA...however recognises that the flight is booked under a VA flight number. Can you "double dip"?🫢...

Question on experiences on cancellation of hopper hotel booking (flexible). Cancelled hotel, told via e mail will receive full refund but ten days later still waiting. Is this normal?

Who is the current lounge "caterer" contract with and expiry date....does anyone know? It might not be so easy to change contract or negotiate better quality ....depending upon current provider.

LHR-JER-LHR twice over in biz with BA? Or due to the relatively high frequencies to GLA and EDI? Is it not 40 points on QF for each of these sectors in biz? Also I'm sure any other European route via LHR are with QF 40 each way in biz...AMS...PRG etc?..or am I misreading your need!?

With mining staff turnover .not all surprisingly! That QF club lounge represents Hi Viz rather well daily! As it's bank holiday weekend in question....who knows, might find that the club lounge will be closed and they will direct users to the biz lounge.

Yes. This actually works quite well for me on PER-AKL sectors. Long enough flight to enjoy in biz, get relatively decent SC , can fly NZ metal with VA flight number ...usually (although not always) at the same price even when ANZ have a sale it carries through to VA web site.....easy seat...

When in Perth and going beyond Sydney or Melbourne and Brisbane, it's often significantly cheaper taking a red eye out...and a couple of hours to transfer (be it domestic or international at MEL or SYD and be at final destination within the VA network as example, by noon. It's a way of life out...

I agree ..however it still strikes me as very bizarre that one elite...who maybe flying, can turn up at the lounge with up to 5 "non flying guests" and simply have them join them for a drink or whatever and then say goodbye to mummy/daddy and go home. It is frankly ridiculous. Still find it odd...
