From Perth there are about 10 flights a day in peak...so arrival and departure times are certainly of choice! (All LCC naturally)!

Ah yes. But hard to justify a direct flight in 3 hours for 800 dollars against a SQ route via SIN for 4,000 dollars in J. SQ are about 900 dollars return down the back for the route on around 11 hours.

Has anyone actually flown TransNusa? Plenty saying the would not but not seen any first hand experience reports. Still thinking Bali direct from PER. Choice is Jetstar, Air Asia. BATIK, TransNusa. Used the ADL lounge today at lunch time. I was quite impressed. Large amount of wraps well filled. A tasty butter chicken curry with poppadoms, chutney and fluffy rice (cooked nice). Mac and cheese and soup. All monitored and re stocked as appropriate. I had thought that this lounge receives...

PER-ADL yesterday tea time flight..successful 85 dollars.

And in Perth lounge ...no self service available (has to be asked for) and they will.only serve one glass at a time even if the second glass i s for seated partner. For heavens sake how pathetic can VA get!! Nanny state in the lounge next!!

I'll also add that if being bussed to the aircraft at Doha for the leg to Europe, in business class you are called last (economy gets called first to the buses). You have your own business class passenger bus. If at gate for immediate boarding via air bridge I can't recall who boards first as...

Is the ADL lounge any better these days? 🤔...or remains what I recall "just awful". Managing expectations for the wife who is flying VA instead of QF and she kinda likes the QF ADL lounge.

Only a better outcome if the quality of and in the lounge improves imho. They could deal with overcrowding a bit better than what they do especially with physically have enough staff to clear empty tables and restock food items. Have more self service rather than drinks etc behind the bar and...

The seat issue with SQ via VA is just rubbish. It just does not seem to work..redemption excluded. ..... If I'm crediting SQ flights to VA in any class I just book through SQ and feel it's just easier even if reduced points or credits. Yet another pain frankly with VA.
