The thing about Aeroplan is that it has a lot of partner airlines outside of just Star Alliance. The reductions in SQ and UA availability particularly suck if you're a Velocity member or using (say) LifeMiles, for example, but if you have Aeroplan points you at least have other left-field...

It used to, but got rid of lifetime status some time ago. Much to the chagrin of people who were close to getting it at the time.

Looks like Aeroplan has quietly increased the full-price cost per thousand points from CAD35 to CAD37.50. :(

From today you can get 25% off the Qantas points required for domestic Classic Reward flights in Economy Class when booking by 19 October 2025. Must be QF marketed and operated, and eligible travel dates are 1 November 2025 - 3 October 2026.

Looks like Jetstar is trialling a new "More" bundle on some routes to/from Perth. It's the same as Starter Plus (which it replaces) but costs a little bit more and includes fee-free date & time changes.

Related question to this: I already redeemed my Stay Plus night for my current Accor+ membership year before the 1 October changes, but haven’t yet completed that stay. If I cancel that night, would my account be credited with two “buy one, get one free” nights to use in my current year?
