I agree SIN and BKK are two very popular routes at the moment, loads are strong for QF and it would be good to see them increase BKK, even start a new direct from another city.

Looks like CNS-DPS has switched back to the A320. Interesting they upped it to the 321 when AirAsia launched, now dropped back since they left. Clearly the intention was to push them out.

UL has pretty solid loads on its Australian flights and it appears significant cargo is shifted between the two countries. Fares are not often that cheap either, peak is really pricey even for peak standards. Not sure what the long term game is with UL either. Seems to be a rolling bailout and...

VKG diverted to SIN earlier this week and is still there. VKI has been grounded in NRT since earlier this week VKJ has been in HKG for a few weeks for assumed engineering.

It appears multiple 787s are grounded again. One stuck in SGN it seems.

Some nasty delays around the network today due to the wind in Melbourne flowing on. Jetstar Avalon to Brisbane 2140 departure still on the ground at Avalon after arriving in late. Departure now 0100.

Air T doesn’t have much cash on hand looking at their numbers. They would struggle to get capital from any bank also. It appears a bit of cash is needed to get this operation moving along. I assume this will be heavily propped up by the Government when they hand over the keys.

They have always been amateurs in this area. Press Releases, Statements, Marketing, it’s all just done poorly.

Getting leases is one thing. Finding a few hundred million in startup capital is another, then the next few hundred million once that is burnt.

I believe he is connecting to the RAAF KC30 Washington Express in BNE which explains the suit. The aircraft is parked at International awaiting the QF flight to land.

Certainly some challenges if it’s in a suitcase with a combo lock or something. We seem to be having these battery fire issues about once per month now so I’d expect more movement globally fairly soon from carriers.

It sounds like they are hiring or using a specific team on the ground like Jetstar does. They go around to most gates (especially in Mel) with the scales and EFT machine. I’ve see plenty of years and tantrums over the years with that.
