Citi Premier Sign-Up Bonus Offers & Discussion

Given that it looks like offers are ending on every single Citi card at the same time, I'd say it is a bigger change.

Citi Prestige Bonus Point Offers & Discussion

Sounds like something bigger is happening than that: 'Offer ends 14 September 2025. Credit card applications must be submitted on or before this date and approved by 30 September 2025.'

Citi Premier Sign-Up Bonus Offers & Discussion

Interesting. Wonder if the end is nigh for the Citi brand? Or is this simply a pause to merge the processing of applications onto the NAB platform?

Up to $800 off Qantas flights to Paris

Helps explain why the recent batch of award seats included flights to CDG.

    Qantas status on AA flights

I'm not sure if it was route or load dependent, but I have had occasions in the past where I was limited to the last few rows, changed my FF number from QF to AA (where I'm EXP), and all the rows opened up.

    Qantas status on AA flights

Similarly, when I go to AA.com, I'm now able to select all seats in First Class on a domestic flight. Previously, I was limited to the last row (or couple of rows) with my QFF number attached.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

You can have more than one so you can apply for another at any time. Probably best to wait a few days for system to recognise closure of previous card if you think that is the reason for the previous denial.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Can always product change to a free Ink (CIU or CIC) if you want. I product change all of them to CICs for 5x office supplies. But best to close if you want to apply for more Inks. Chase has a soft limit of only approving new Inks if you have less than 2-4 open at a time.

How many people do you personally know that fall into the category I mentioned above?

Credit Card Offers HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card: Fast-Track to Star Alliance Gold Status

Definitely! I more meant for CityRail (or anyone else) not wanting to maintain *G through HSBC in later years, but instead to get it through AC.

Credit Card Offers HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card: Fast-Track to Star Alliance Gold Status

Remember that Air Canada has just moved to a revenue-based FF program. Though not for flights on partners.

Qantas Classic Reward & Upgrade Devaluation on 5 August 2025

The figure is from July 2025. The fact that you think the 'average points balance changes daily' to any extent that is material to this conversation demonstrates a lack of understanding about how statistics operate at a population of that size. Additionally, there would not be more than a...

Qantas Classic Reward & Upgrade Devaluation on 5 August 2025

There are 16 million QFF members. The 'average QFF member' has 73,000 points — not even enough to afford half of one-way on an F award ticket. The 'average QFF member' is not even remotely close to having the capacity to spend $20,000 on First class airplane tickets — that would be more than...

These are not 'average QFF members', whether measured by the mode, median or mean. It is a common mistake to extrapolate from one's personal experience and think that represents the average. By all means, feel free to say that your small group of acquaintances consider an F award ticket to be a...

    Airfares to US to drop?

The US Department of Commerce's latest data shows international arrivals from Australia in June 2025 were down 10.2% compared to June 2024. Overall international arrivals is down 3.4%.

Qantas Classic Reward & Upgrade Devaluation on 5 August 2025

If you're going to dismiss other award programs as a relevant points of comparison because it is difficult to attain points in that program, then you also have to dismiss the cash price as a relevant point of comparison because the 'average QFF member' would never spend $20,000 on a single...

Qantas Classic Reward & Upgrade Devaluation on 5 August 2025

Putting all the off-topic personal attacks to one side, the topic is whether $600 in carrier charges is a bargain or not. When one takes into account the fact that competing award programs offer the exact same flights for not only lower carrier charges but also fewer points, the answer is...

Qantas Classic Reward & Upgrade Devaluation on 5 August 2025

Tell me you know nothing about the concept of a 'bargain' without telling me lol. You keep talking about price rises — the very opposite of a bargain. You keep talking about business owners — a bargain is something that is good value from the perspective of the customer, not the business...

Qantas Classic Reward & Upgrade Devaluation on 5 August 2025

Only in upside-down world (or 10 Bourke Rd Mascot NSW) would someone think a 20% increase in carrier charges is a 'bargain'.
