The thing about Aeroplan is that it has a lot of partner airlines outside of just Star Alliance. The reductions in SQ and UA availability particularly suck if you're a Velocity member or using (say) LifeMiles, for example, but if you have Aeroplan points you at least have other left-field...

It used to, but got rid of lifetime status some time ago. Much to the chagrin of people who were close to getting it at the time.

These actually look like pretty much all positive changes! I was expecting to see this announcement being combined with a "oh by the way, earn is now revenue-based" or something. Am I missing something? 😂
