Same here. I swore off using QF but then realised I couldnt ignore the nearly 200,000 points still there so now have 2 cards - 1 for QF points and the other for Krisflyer and I take it in turns to churn. The plan on the next overseas trip is to use QF one way and SQ the other.

Looking at flights from JFK - SYD in December 2020 there is availability in J showing on Singapore Airlines but same day only in Economy on Award Hacks. Maybe it's my search criteria but anyone have any thoughts?

True, I should have made the distinction between sign on points rather than spending points.

Or the ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures card for $0 overseas transaction fees and 75000 Velocity sign on bonus points. The CBA card seems to suit those who aren't big on accumulating points and want a low annual fee and no fx fees.

Very hard to get excited about this card. No sign on bonus points and poor earning rate for everyday spend. I try to avoid cards that earn less than $1 - 1 ff point.
