Do Accor hotels generally store your luggage for one or more days between stays?

I don't think that being an Accor hotel or not makes much of a difference. In general, I've found that hotels of all brands etc. have been willing to store my suitcase between back-to-back stays, if it's for a reasonable amount of time (e.g. less than a week). But I never 100% expect it.

Qantas adds interline with Sharp Airlines

As noted by @Dantas. Could be useful if you're flying to/from King Island or Flinders Island, for example. No points or SC earning, though. It's just a basic interline agreement. https://pulsetasmania.com.au/news/new-qantas-deal-opens-up-king-and-flinders-island-routes-via-sharp-airlines/

Emirates to ban using power banks onboard from 1 October, 2025

I was just on a LH flight. After take-off there was an announcement that charging power banks on board is now prohibited, and that if you do use a power bank to charge another device during the flight, you must constantly watch it.

I also remember that evening very well. Can you believe it @JohnM, I'll be turning 30 in a few months. 😳

Where's all the UA J (Polaris) TPAC availability gone?

Could it just be that it's currently a busy period, so less distressed inventory to go around (to be released as reward seats)? I would expect to see seats come back around late August or maybe mid-October, when there's less demand.

Perth to Johannesburg Direct with Velocity Points, SAA

I'd say that if SAA did release more reward seats around that date, it most likely would not be until a few weeks before departure. That said, this is a busy travel period, so it's not a guarantee (not that it ever is). Would it be an option for you to book whatever is available now (e.g. 18...

Qantas using 737 without seatback IFE for international flights?

Regular Qantas flyers will know that around half of QF's Boeing 737-800 fleet has seatback in-flight entertainment screens. The older half does not, but these (until recently) have been used exclusively for domestic flights. I've noticed that Qantas recently started using VH-VZA on trans-Tasman...

Airline livery update - who needs one?

Agree with Rex. Maybe Korean Air. (Yes, I know they just got a new one...) Zip Air too?

Qantas not considering a revenue-based model

I don’t have specific inside info on exactly what’s planned and could be wrong. That’s just my read on the situation. :) Yes.

    My Saudia Arabia visa experience

I applied online for an e-Visa when I went in January, and it was fairly straightforward. The main issue was getting a photo in the right dimensions, which required a trip to Officeworks. I flew into RUH, which also has a visa-on-arrival option, you simply use the kiosk and pay the fee on arrival.

Qantas not considering a revenue-based model

For what it's worth, it's also my understanding that Qantas isn't planning to switch to a purely revenue-based program in the short to medium term. I suspect we will see some changes to the way status/status credits are earned in the near future, but I think this will be more relating to adding...

U Classic Reward - Downgraded with 24 hours notice

It’s obviously annoying to have been downgraded with minimal compensation, other than the fare difference. But for Qantas to make it so hard to even get that, and an ORC, is really very poor. You shouldn’t have to wait nor fight for this.

    Lounge Options in Helsinki

Yes, you will get your Oneworld Emerald benefits including an extra bag and lounge access, even on an Economy Superlight ticket, though the Finnair website won't show this. Since you're Oneworld Emerald you can use the Platinum Corner before your Schengen departure. I find it really lovely...

Illogical points pricing with IHG hotel booking

I just booked a night at an IHG hotel in Belgium, which was retailing for €99. I thought I'd have a look at the options for paying with IHG One Rewards points, and was a bit bemused to find that if I contributed 5,000 points towards this booking, the co-payment would rise to €102! I ended...
