Yet another IHG brand - Garner

Is Indigo is supposed to be somewhere between HI and CP? Last one I stayed at (Austin) was pretty cough, I don't really see the US ones as better than a HI.

Add QF Status to AA Booking?

FYI I've had a pretty good hit rate on day of departure just asking check-in and Admiral's Club agents to upgrade to MCE as QF Gold.

    EY FCO-BNE in J from ~$4,200 return

Yes, they'll cancel remaining ticket if you don't fly any one of the sectors before the final one. You would need to get back to BNE to start the return itinerary.

And with AA you do get access to the Flagship lounge(s) too!

Qantas A220 to do trips to Asia opening new opportunities (rumor)

Would also be good if they could go Frontier and print some birds on the 220's tails.

Wandering business class Sydney to LHR

Not sure about AFF but there are a few TAs on FlyerTalk (nufnuf77 is one) who are seemingly quite good at booking complex RTW itineraries. (I have never used them)

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Yeah, once I got to the right person and said the right thing, it was super easy to get an Amex Gold in the US with zero credit history here. Every other card I've applied for is very credit limited ($200 - $1000) so it gets a lot of use because it's a charge card. 4x back at global restaurants...

Why don't governments put up taxes instead of interest rates?

I don't think most people think they're winning without cash in hand (I'd like to exlude myself though :))

Cash or Card? Countries where you still need cash.

In the US I only have cash on me when going to because they can't legally take CCs and debit transactions are treated like ATM withdrawals - they charge you an extra $3 or so, and then refund the fee in cash - bizzare. If I have extra cash I'll use it to tip bartenders/ride share because then...

    Hello All! A Qantas / Apple-related query...

You can only add boarding passes to your apple wallet, not tickets. Wait until you can check-in and you'll see boarding passes in your QF app, which have the "add to wallet" button.

Qantas A220 to do trips to Asia opening new opportunities (rumor)

Just flew BOS-AUS-BOS on DL's 220-300 and was pretty impressed. Nice big windows, though for some reason most people left theirs closed on these morning/evening non-redeye flights. Comfort+ gave plenty of legroom for me (6'3"), though there are 2x exit row at 18A/C with unlimited legroom in Y...

Qantas A220 to do trips to Asia opening new opportunities (rumor)

Hopefully the 220 will be a nice step up from the 717 regardless (and maybe also the E-jets operated by Alliance etc, though the addition of a middle seat might be irksome). DL flyers in the US seem very happy with the Y experience compared to the 717s (though F is perhaps slightly worse given...
