I’ve had Qantas extras health insurance for a couple of years and I’m pretty happy with it. Get 65% back on most claims. Previous health insurance (AHM) would give me back $30 for a $100 remedial massage which was a joke. Also very easy to submit claims via the App and track claim limits.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the spa treatment times are getting shorter and shorter? Last couple of times I’ve been there and had a treatment, it lasted for around 15 minutes or less which hardly seemed like it was worth bothering.

I’ve booked a business fare MEL to SYD for $450 on 25 January 2025 (my ff year ends in January). Not bad value for 80 SC. Will use this booking as placeholder for another booking or can cancel for no penalty.

The multi city search engine is hopeless, even for a basic NZ trip. Can see the flights and select seats etc then at the confirmation stage get an error. Trying to get through to Qantas to book over the phone is hopeless even for Platinum. Over an hour wait then they hang up on you.

My bugbear with J CRs is that if there is only a seat available on one way then I would be happy to pay the J fare the other way if it was priced at half the return cost rather than close to the return price. So Qantas please price your J international one way fares the same way you price...

They will probably be stuck on the tarmac once they land due to no gates free in Sydney. I’m on QF648 from Perth which landed at 19.45 but we are still waiting for a gate an hour later. Hoping I can still get onto QF 493 to Melbourne which is now scheduled to depart at 21.30 🤞.

I just had the Pad Krapow in the Melbourne lounge. Delicious but very spicy if you pour the side dish of chilli and garlic over it.

Currently in the Melbourne First lounge. Looks like the all day menu is now (as of yesterday) available from 12pm rather than 11am which is a shame. Unless QF35 is delayed will miss out on the salt and pepper squid!
