As a WP on VA I've checked an Ikea bed. I was flying anyway and the bed came in 3x boxes all under 23kg. Yes it was oversized but VA have no oversized fees which made much less than the $300 fee Ikea wanted for delivery to Central Queensland.

Where did they provide this information. They're yet to announce things like baggage/check in details so impressed that they'd give an answer on the lounge.

I've got VA Plat until Aug next year and then will let it drop to Gold meaning VAs covered for me until Aug 2027. Additionally my QF Plat (OWE) is locked with enough bookings to Feb 2027 and now this LH*G until Feb 2027. Ironically Skyteam status is the missing one.

Got mine approved. Only managed to use the ITA status once on an Air France flight (lounge + a free bag). The *G status will be much more useful.

I went for the one month option as it worked out at ~AU$136 for 5000 reward points. Points are a fixed 1000 reward points = €20 so the 5000 is worth €100 currently ~AU$176 (~22% discount). I did the purchase and then cancelled the subscription right away so if a black Friday deal does come up...

This depends on where you are cycle wise, if your Accor China sits before Accor plus then it’s still possible for now to go over the 30. Had 10 from earlier on an account as the Accor plus bonus and then bought the Chinese program this week which credited the 30 meaning 40 total this year.

Don't make a habit of it but shouldn't have any issues. With a stop over of months there is no risk as already mentioned people miss flights often.

Thanks, frustrating if true given I can see Premier rooms where the flexible rate works out at AU$952 total (including taxes). The breakdown shows the total for both nights the same and that taxes are charged on a per night so in theory if one night free the taxes should be free on that night...

I’m tempted to cancel one and see what happens but holding off to see if this actually works.
