I got my pro-rata refund in the last few years. I likewise achieved LTG just prior to the pandemic, so decided to claim what little was left back. I can't recall the exact process, but they just needed me to write it out in a stat dec and then get it witnessed and send that in.

With no curfew I can't imagine it'll be long before there's significant interest. If the transport connections are operational from day one and not much longer (time-wise) than existing from SYD then I think the choice will be simple and rapid expansion will occur. I'm sure many will disagree...

Diverting from the topic, but has happened to me at Sofitel Adelaide a couple times. I no longer carry the physical card on me but do have the numbers stored and a digital version. Usually they begrudgingly accept that... and so they should. Probably a discussion for the hotel category though.

I've recently change how I store my wine. I was using a large Vintec for the good stuff and racks on the wall (but not terribly temperature controlled) for the other stuff. This wasn't going to work going forward, so I renovated a space, added a separate AC and tarted it up. There's more to show...

Figured I should post an update as I've made a few small changes after living in the house for a bit. First one I want to highlight is how I store my wine, as someone pointed out they thought the temp would fluctuate too much where I had originally envisaged it, and it was hard (and expensive)...

I use 24hr exclusively, just how my mind works.

Your issue is really the space between shelves. If it's designed for bordeaux style, the shelves wont have enough space between them to comfortably slide with bottles laying on them if you have any bottle size that is bigger than bordeaux. And there are many wines that have weird and wonderful...
