That's a lot of travel. You might need to plan some downtime. I've heard San Diego is good for kids with the excellent zoo, SeaWorld and Naval facility. I'm looking at it doing it myself with a 6 year old.

BA seating layout is terrible. But service has always been good for me. I liked the seat on the SQ A350. Flew it from BCN to SIN. Service was impeccable. Food excellent.

I found the room more than adequate. I agree about the firmness. It wasn't the best but still a good product.
