I need to get from AUS (Austin) to ORD and when I search the Qantas classic rewards for the date I wish to book I get no avvaliability. However when I search AUS-CVG I get availability for AUS-ORD-CVG. The operating airline is American Airlines, could I just ask for bags to be available in ORD...

Amex is taking the p*ss with the $450 Qantas travel credit. The flights are overpriced by about 20% minimum vs Qantas own website. They don't have saver or sale fares available half the time either.

Correct. You just can’t ‘transit’ in Delhi like most places on earth Either get a Visa or wait until the airline rep arrives 7 hours is also a tough one. Even if you had a visa it probably wouldn’t be worth leaving the airport anyway since you need to check back in, pass security and immigration

I had a look at my travel insurance policies and I don't believe it covers Qantas' incompetence

I know a few on the forum are taking Qantas to NCAT or VCAT. Qantas have failed on numerous occasions to exercise due care and skill which is a requirement under consumer law.

As expected the incompetence at Qantas continues. 1 1/2 hours wasted only for them to be unable to price up the flight! Then disconnected I could do it in 10 minutes if the website wasn't such rabble

Same issue here. I canceled an award flight and 8 weeks later and a few calls the points still havn’t been refunded

Japan and KL are your transit points to get out of Australia. Once out of Australia you can find connections to Europe and US.
