@sudoer have you seen a Qantas page where you can convert Qantas points to Accor ALL points, and not just the other way around... regardless of value I didn't think it was possible, unless I have completely misinterpreted the OP?

To be fair, part of a great experience can be attributed to the service given because of status. If a venue changes brands, it might not be possible to get the same experience without a status match or higher spend ;)
