I've got another 5 days to decide. Really in two minds. Got almost none of the "benefits" of the card in the last untravelling, locked down year. The downgrade to $0 Essentials card or straight cancellation are being contemplated.

My Explorer is coming up for renewal and a long online chat didn't even yield the initiative to suggest a downgrade if I wasn't happy with the value of the card as is. Quite surprising. If I hadn't proposed it myself, I'd have been on the cancellation path.

Exactly the same for me this month.

I'm having a "fun" time with Westpac with a new card: first transaction got flagged as fraudulent, all accounts got locked, and it took two hours in a branch to resolve it. That first transaction didn't get credited as Altitude points until a manual intervention, listed as an "adjustment". So...
