Qantas Club Lifetime Membership Benefits Removal

Almost. I bought LT Ansett Golden Wing access at 22 for $2500 (IIRC). It was a good plan but I backed the wrong airline.

How do you store your wine [+ Fridge/Cabinet recommendations]

I haven't had any problems with 750ml Reds. I have 1000ml Whites that fit as well. I have problems with some bottles of Champagne that have a larger girth. Most Champagnes will fit without problem.

How do you store your wine [+ Fridge/Cabinet recommendations]

This is great system. I use the same. They are based in Adelaide. https://www.thewinerackshop.com.au/modular-racks/cellarstak.html I have used them for my under staircase walls so that I can use every bit of space available. The staff are super helpful and if you speak to them, they can sell...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Ah yes, that would make sense. I guess everyone on the same booking inherit the highest level of boarding group?

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

https://www.executivetraveller.com/qantas-priority-group-boarding According to this article - Announcements will be made at the gate when it is time for each group to board, and the boarding pass scanner will only permit travellers to board once their group has been invited, so there’ll be no...

Op-ed: Airlines Must Take the Seatbelt Sign More Seriously

I think that the media have gone crazy over this case because someone died. I don't recall the last time someone died due to turbulence. I wasn't on board but agree that if the passengers were seated and wearing their seatbelts then serious injury would have been avoided. Those moving about the...

Op-ed: Airlines Must Take the Seatbelt Sign More Seriously

I'm a nerd and always wear my seat belt at all times. I have never found a seat belt to reduce my overall comfort. I don't understand why passengers would remove their seat belt for extended periods whilst seated. This is even more important when you want to sleep. I totally agree that overuse...

Short turnarounds: Have you flown back from your destination with the same crew?

From memory I have also followed/chased the same aircraft and crew (with the same seat selected) from Townsville - Brisbane - Sydney and/or the reverse a couple of times.

Short turnarounds: Have you flown back from your destination with the same crew?

Status run from Adelaide - Kangaroo Island - Adelaide. Same aircraft, crew and seat both ways. Crew recognised me and were lovely and we had a great chat from row 1. Was given bonus snacks to take home to my children for their school lunches. At KGC airport I got off the aircraft, walked into...

    Seat poacher

I had a seat poacher (I quite like this tern of phrase) situation a few years ago flying out of Washington DC with the Mrs. I had booked a window seat in the first row of Y as I really did want to take pics of DC as we flew out. Upon boarding a family of three were in our seats. I spoke to them...

However, should you step in dog poo whilst wearing shoes and not know it, when you walk inside in shoes you are spreading it around. Take you shoes off and the contamination is stopped at the front door.

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

I'm the same with cats. When I'm close to cats I develop an Asthma attack. Can I sue the airline (I do have a mortgage to pay off)? Can I sue the pet owner? Would this not complicate the evacuation process should it be required? What happens if I have a pet snake or kangaroo?

Biggest juxtaposition between luxury (from points) and budget (from money)?

I have no problems staying at budget hotels. When I'm travelling for pleasure, I generally spend most of my time outside the hotel. For me hotels should be clean, safe, convenient and good place to sleep. Should a luxury hotel fall into my budget and selection criteria, then that's a bonus. I...

https://www.executivetraveller.com/qantas-project-sunrise-a350 Speaking at a media event in Sydney, Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson blamed manufacturing and certification issues for the six-month delay, though noted once the first A350 was in the hangar the remainder “will come relatively quickly...
