I’d say considering the issues in recent times it would be wise to extend the Finnair crews for as long as possible while they have the offer available, even above the dry leases.

I recall reading that it takes 18-24 months to reap the benefits, that is using them on longer missions. They are certainly everywhere in the US

If you are inbound over NT or QLD when these things happen there isn’t many places one can divert to.

I think that might be the right approach initially. Gives them the opportunity to lean in to that market when it starts to pick up. They will be able to walk in and pick up a good share when it starts to become a bigger market, plus let the others test the market to work out what the market out...

I think early build 788s won’t go on too long. Remains to be seen but I doubt they will enter a second heavy check at the 20-25 year mark and will probably be used for parts.
