Virgin Australia orders 8 Embraer E190-E2 jets for delivery from 2025

Love the E190's, I used to fly on these a lot MEL - MQL with VA1.
I can imagine the E190-E2's are just as nice/better to travel on.

Will be interesting to see how many training flights VA needs to dow irh the E2.
QF is now over 150 with its 321XLR.

Would they still have the E190 on the AOC? Last flight was 2018.

I assume they still have a whole pile of manuals and other docs floating around which will no doubt assist with entry.

It’s not the first of its type in Australia so there should be nowhere near the number of flights

E2A is nearing delivery.

The VA Flight Status page shows VA9943 operating BRO-ONT-KOA on Thursday (4th).

Executive Traveller is then reporting that the E2 will make its "debut" on a special "inaugural flight" between Canberra and Perth next Monday (8th).
