Virgin Australia orders 8 Embraer E190-E2 jets for delivery from 2025

Love the E190's, I used to fly on these a lot MEL - MQL with VA1.
I can imagine the E190-E2's are just as nice/better to travel on.

Hopefully they order more and start popping up on some east coast runs. They are super quiet apparently.

I’d say intra QLD they would be of use.

I’d love them in ADL. Great for ADL-CBR or to the NT

Would they still have the E190 on the AOC? Last flight was 2018.

I assume they still have a whole pile of manuals and other docs floating around which will no doubt assist with entry.

E2A is nearing delivery.

The VA Flight Status page shows VA9943 operating BRO-ONT-KOA on Thursday (4th).

Executive Traveller is then reporting that the E2 will make its "debut" on a special "inaugural flight" between Canberra and Perth next Monday (8th).

The first E2 has been handed over to Virgin in Brazil.

VH-E2A is the 1900th E-Jet built and features a sticker on the fuselage commemorating the milestone.

Due to arrive in Canberra on Saturday. Full delivery routing is SJK-CUR-BRO-ONT-KOA-NAN-CBR-PER.
